Calling Sydney Life Drawing Models!
The Hamley Studio of Fine Art runs life drawing and painting classes and workshops. We are always happy to add to our network of Sydney life models – so if you’re looking for life modelling jobs please feel free to get in touch anytime via the contact form on this website or at hello@hamleystudio.com.au

Our studio is in Hornsby, on Sydney’s north shore. It is a short walk from the Hornsby train station, and we have some parking spots available also.

Most of our life drawing and painting classes feature models in a long, or sustained pose. For example, we might have a life model sit for five consecutive Wednesdays, or five consecutive Fridays (five days is our standard pose length). Our standard hours are 10am to 4:15pm, with a 45 minute lunch break. Models have breaks at least every 25 minutes, and we tend to make the sessions shorter as the day goes on. We currently have models at our studio on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

We understand that to hold one pose for that length of time places considerable demands on a life model’s body, and so your comfort is always a priority. We are also happy to do whatever we can to make sure our models are comfortable in our space.
We have a dedicated model changing space (with a heater, mirror etc), a kitchen (with fridge, kettle, microwave, sandwich press), and we offer free tea and coffee.
We are open to life models of any appearance, body type, age (over 18) etc. We are also happy to have models who are new to the job – our requirements are just a professional attitude and comfort with the idea of holding a single pose for an extended period. (We place tape on the floor and on furniture to help models get back into position after each break).

We look forward to working with you!
