CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS AT HAMLEY STUDIO

Below are descriptions of the classes and upcoming workshops offered at Hamley Studio. Bookings can be made through the 'Book Online' page on this website. In certain circumstances we are able to cater for alternative payment and attendance arrangements. If you need an alternative arrangement please contact us. Also, if you wish to book into the class after the term has started, please contact us.

ALLA-PRIMA PAINTING AND FUNDAMENTALS OF LIFE DRAWING

WEDNESDAY (10 WEEKS)

Full Day: 10am-4:15pm

Morning session: 10am-12:45pm

Afternoon session: 1:30pm-4:15pm

Price for 10 week term:

$899 (Full Day) OR

$449 (Morning or Afternoon only)

In this class students will work from the live model, who will hold a new pose each week. Painting students will focus on direct painting techniques. Drawing students will focus on the fundementals of creating accurate figure and portrait drawings.

PORTRAIT/FIGURE CLASS - LONG-POSE

FRIDAY (10 WEEKS)

Full Day: 10am-4:15pm

Morning session: 10am-12:45pm

Afternoon session: 1:30pm-4:15pm

Price for 10 week term:

$899 (Full Day) OR

$449 (Morning or Afternoon only)

In this class, students work from the live model with each pose extending over five consecutive Fridays. Students can enrol for a full day, or for the morning or afternoon session. It is suitable for all levels of experience.

STILL LIFE AND BASIC DRAWING

SATURDAY MORNING (10 WEEKS)

9:30am-12:30pm

Price for 10 week term:

$499

This class is intended for students who wish to work on their still life painting or who want to improve their general drawing skills. It is suitable for all experience levels.

FIVE DAY PORTRAIT WORKSHOP

July 5-9, 2021

In this workshop, students will work to create one portrait painting of a live model over five days. The workshop is suitable for beginning to advanced painters and will cover a range of concepts - from fundamental drawing principles to the use of tone and colour to create convincing portraits.
